Fire Shield – SFP-TRANS

SFP-TRANS is an ecofriendly water-based fire-retardant clear coat used to retard fire in most absorbent fabrics, including polyester, woven fabrics and nonwoven fabrics. It forms a thermal insulation barrier that prevents dangerous flames from spreading. It resists fire with the help of special fire-resistant chemicals, it then releases water molecules after prolonged exposure to fire while simultaneously releasing small number of gases to block the oxygen from the surrounding area, effectively reducing the spread of fire.

Application Procedure

For fabrics: soak the fabrics in the chemical and let it dry. Iron the fabric and it is ready as fire resistant fabric. Spray the chemical and allow it to dry if the SFP-TRANS is used to fire retard clothing, carpeting and other fabrics. It is recommended that SFP-TRANS be reapplied after washing as the effectiveness will be diminished due to washing.
